Pennon Education Presents
The 70th Edition of the Central PA Spelling Bee was held on March 21, 2026, at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Over 250 spellers from 10 Central PA counties participated in this year’s Bee.After the regional online semi-final, the top 34 spellers qualified for the Central PA Spelling Bee final. The winner, Vedika Burman, competed at the 101st Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC in May 2026.

Step: 1
Register Your School with Scripps National Spelling Bee
All participating schools must register their school by January 29,2027.
Step: 2
Determine Your Spellers for the Regional Online Semi-Final
Each school may send up to 8 spellers to participate in the Regional Online Semi-Final (online written test).
Step: 3
Register Spellers for the Regional Semi-Final
Complete the WITF and Pennon Education online Spellers Registration Form and submit the associated fee by 5pm on January 22, 2027.
Step: 4
Register Your Spellers with Scripps National Spelling Bee
Schools must also register each speller who will participate in the Regional Semi-Final in the Scripps National Spelling portal by January 29, 2027.

2026 Central PA Spelling Bee Winner!
Congratulations to Vedika Burman, the top speller at this year’s Central PA Spelling Bee. Vedika advanced to the quarterfinals and placed 79th out of 196th overall at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC in May 2026.
