Our supporters are vital to the mission of Pennon Education. Individual donors and corporate sponsors enable Pennon Education to connect educators, families, children and adults to life-long learning. We do this through meaningful partnerships, curated resources, high-quality educational programming, professional development and standards-based lesson plans.
Opportunities to support Pennon Education include:
Corporate or individual sponsorships and donations.
Participation in EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) programs.
EITC
Pennon Education is an approved Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) focused on closing opportunity gaps through its Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) programs.
Since launching as WITF Education in 2016, Pennon Education’s flagship program, Explore in the Classroom, has reached over 8,300 students across York, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Steelton-Highspire, and Central Dauphin school districts—distributing more than 29,000 books thanks to generous sponsor support.
Our programs deliver high-impact, standards-aligned lessons that integrate seamlessly into existing K–12 curricula. Classroom teachers receive lessons in advance and collaborate with our expert educators to enhance instruction through hands-on, engaging experiences that spark curiosity and reinforce learning at home with take-home books.
Through long-standing partnerships with districts and educators, and leveraging PBS KIDS and PBS Learning Media resources, Pennon Education ensures students have access to high-quality, enriching content.
Now approved to serve students in grades K–12, Pennon Education’s new EITC programs include:
Digital Detectives and Youth Voice (Grades 3–12)
STEM and Career Exploration
Slide into Summer Camps
The Youth Voice Imperative
Together, we’re building brighter futures—one classroom at a time.
