Why choose Pennon Education Summer Camps?
Pennon Education’s summer camps are unique in the area
Our Slide into Summer camps are led by highly qualified educators with experience working with children. Camp themes are developed by Pennon Education’s professional educators, using inquiry as a framework and applying innovative teaching methods to provide truly inspirational learning experiences for campers.

Our summer camps incorporate STEM
STEM integrates hands-on exploration of topics related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and the arts. A great example is this year’s Splash Science: H2O camp where campers test water quality, discover the powerful force of water by engineering a water slide using 3D printing, and more!
Our summer camps provide career exploration
Many of our camp offerings infuse career exploration and opportunities to work with experts in field. This summer, campers will work alongside WITF audio engineers, creative directors, and content experts for a truly immersive camp experience. During a previous camp about flight and aerodynamics, campers had the opportunity to work with real-life experts like a drone pilot and a helicopter pilot.

Our summer camps include digital creation
Digital creation camps focus on the creation of digital visual art, electronic music and animation. A great example is our interactive Wave Makers: Exploring Music and Sound and Comic Creator camps, where campers learn how to create and harness sound, and how to apply their sound knowledge to develop an animated cartoon.
Our camps are affordable
Half-day camp costs $135 per week per camper and full-day camp costs $270 per week per camper. Lunch is not provided; campers enrolled in full-day camp should bring a packed lunch.
Pennon Education is committed to making summer camp experiences accessible to all students. For Summer 2025, camp scholarship were made available to eligible families thanks to the generous support from The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Charitable Fund and The Hershey Company.

Our camps are for all students
You don’t have to live in Harrisburg to attend these camps – Slide into Summer Camps are open to all students.

Campers will be exploring and creating! It’s recommended to wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes that are okay to get a little messy!

Do I need to supply safety gear for a STEM camp?
No, we will supply goggles and any other necessary safety equipment.
Do I need to pack lunch for my child?
Yes, please pack a lunch if your child is enrolled in full-day camp.
How are drop-off and pickup handled?
An authorized adult (parent/guardian/other) will need to enter the lobby with the camper to sign campers in at the start of their camp and sign them out at the end of their camp.
Morning and all-day camp drop-off begins at 8:15am. Pick-up for campers enrolled in morning-only camp is at noon.
Drop-off for campers enrolled in afternoon-only camp is from 12:45pm – 1:00pm.
End of day pick-up for afternoon and all-day camp is at 4:30pm at the front entrance of the WITF Public Media Center located at 4801 Lindle Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111.
As you enter the WITF parking lot, located on Keckler Road, you’ll take the ramp to the right up to a small lot in front of the building, where you’ll find accessibility spaces. You may park there for drop-off and pick-up. The front entrance is easily accessible from there.
